According the the Daily Mail, spam causes as much green house gasses every year as 3.1 million cars! This is crazy, but not unexpected. Spam account for most e-mail sent these days, and a huge amount of processing power is used to process this and then block it from arriving in user’s inboxes. Plus spam is really really annoying.
